A Towering Achievement

Here’s one for the record books: Stan Munro, Marketing: Fashion and Related Industries ’92, earned a Guinness World Record for “tallest toothpick structure” for his 16-foot replica of the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa in Dubai. It’s part of Toothpick World, Munro’s traveling exhibition of more than 60 toothpick constructions, built at 1:164 scale, modeling iconic structures from around the globe. One is a 40-foot-long Golden Gate Bridge. Unfortunately, Guinness doesn’t have a category for “longest toothpick structure”…yet.
