“When I was working in the old Registration Center [where students used to register for classes], we were given steno notebooks for making notes. They are perfect for me to carry around and write down ideas. Some of the pages only have fragments on them. Sometimes they become poems on another piece of paper. Sometimes they die there on the vine. This poem, “Herbert Hoover,” was published in a 2011 anthology called -gape-seed- by Uphook Press.”
